Addiction Medicine

The Addiction Medicine Clinic provides an assessment of opioid, alcohol, tobacco, and some sedative use disorders. Medical and psychiatric care is available in the clinic or in collaboration with other providers. Physician consultations are available. Patients attend visits on a weekly to monthly basis. Insurance or private pay is accepted for these services.

• Methadone maintenance treatment for opioid use disorder
• Buprenorphine maintenance treatment for opioid use disorder (e.g., Suboxone®)
• Alcohol use disorder treatment with Antabuse®, Vivitrol®, or other medications
• Physician consultations for patients with confirmed or suspected substance use disorders

Additional patient services

In addition to medications, patients in both clinics receive individual counseling, drug and alcohol testing, and referrals to other medical and psychiatric services as needed. Patients in the licensed outpatient treatment program also receive case management, group therapy and education, and access to an on-site psychiatrist.

Our clinics have extensive experience working with pregnant and post-partum patients. We emphasize close coordination with OB/GYN services, parenting education, and involvement of the family with appropriate community agencies before and after delivery.

• Psychiatric services
  On-site services are available for program patients including psychiatric assessments, prescriptions, medication checks, and psychotherapy. Other services (neuropsychiatric testing, behavioral therapy, etc.) are arranged by referral or through the patient's mental health provider.
